The first native woodland
The fences are going up for the first of the five native woodlands on the Baile Geamhraidh. We have acquired a little trailer as you can see from the picture which is a great help for delivering tools, stobs and strainers and wire to the site. Fences are not our favourite thing, but without them no trees would manage to survive; the sheep, cows and hares would have them all for breakfast. So the hard work of stock fencing is essential. We have been very lucky with the weather and with the very able help afforded us by both Adam Croal and Sean McDonald.
