Where have we got to? October to March
House with grass roof
Winter happenned. Work stopped for quite some time. Sebastian is working on his own now and the work has been fiddely. Work like all the bits to make the windows wind and watertight takes so long as most windows are all different and there all 22 of them. He also has started on the cedar cladding which came from locally sourced 120 year old trees in Ardamurchan. It is just beautiful, golden blond and smells wonderful too. Though it will turn grey over time, but then so will we and that is beautiful too.
The grass roof survived the winter and has been a very good choice I think. It has made the whole building blend in with the landscape and makes it look more like it belongs here.
The inside of the house is still pretty much as it was in September and is used pretty much exclusively as a workshop these days. We did however celebrate Christmas in there, Mike and Leo joined us. Cold but great!
