Visitors to the Secret Garden come from all over the world. It surprises us greatly to see people literally from every corner of the globe appear here. We've had visitors from Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan, India, South America, Mexico, US, Canada, Holland, Germany, Sweden, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and many more place. Some come to see the house, particularly architecture students, others come to spend some time in the garden. The main reason for having open days is to provide a social space and a spot on Lismore for visitors and locals to enjoy and to provide vegetables, plants, flowers, seeds, eggs, meat to buy. Many enjoy just to be here, it is a place of healing and the views are quite wonderful. You can just wander or sit and have a tea of coffee or a light lunch.
Open on Wednesdays and Saturday 10-4pm from 1 April-1 October. Other times by arrangement.

We are developing a small herd of of pedigree Shetland cattle. These are slightly smaller than many other modern breeds, are horned, easy to manage, delicious to eat and can provide high quality rich milk. We will have meat for sale from time to time.
